A big update and an award!!!!

Life can be cruel sometimes. In my family lots of things are happening right now. I put all my energy in working, study and relationsships. So not much stitching done and also not in the mood for stitching.

The sun is shining again when bloggerfriends sent me, for example, an award, named:
The sunshine award

Thank you so much Patti for this sunny award. I needed this a lot and still do. You made my day very sunny!

And the rules for this award are:

1. Put the logo on your blog or within a post
2. Pass the award to 12 Bloggers
3. Link the nominees within your post
4. Let them know they receive this award by communicating on their blog
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award

Here are my twelve bloggers:

1. Siobhan
2. Carin
3. Kim
4. Simone
5. Angela
6. Mylene
7. Lydia
8. Mayté
9. Terri
10. Melissa
11. Irina
12. Susan

Another example for a sunny day is when I received the PIF from Irina!
The hole package: a little notebook, chocolate, magnets and a very lovely sissorfob!

Did see know I'm a big coffee addict?

I didn't stitch much, but a little. So here is my newest progress: A mother's love needleroll from Shephard's Bush:

And two pictures of the Shores could be found here! You are all still welcome to join this blog.

And at least, but not least: my two big girls, Emma and Dorine, both have a new swimmingcertificate: Emma her 4th and Dorine her 3rd.

So also a lot of good things happened. And this is what keeps me going.
I hope you enjoyd reading my post again.

Lots of hugs and love and till next time...

Started on my first ornament for this year!

The package with the first two ornaments arrived!

I've started on the first one: All Dolled Up! from Little House Needleworks.

I stitch it on 30-count Cappucino with Venus threads instead of the recommended DMC.

Last week I finished stitching my third PIF project. Only two to go! I can't show you any pictures yet, but I can tell you, this one is adorable. I bought the finishing stuff for it yesterday; I surely hope the PIF members will like what I made for them.

Today I haven't stitch much, because I had to do some work done at the office. I also have a lot of reading to do, on all the blogs I love. Maybe next week.

Till next time, lots of love and hugs.

Lots of finishes and progress-pictures!

Hi, you all! Pff, time flies.... it's been a long time, but I made lots of progress and some finishes. I've finished two PIF's and I decided that I will mail them out all at the same time. I can't make a choice who's first, second ... so that's what I will do then. It gives me more time to search for goodies en stuff for my PIF-members. Ofcourse I can't show any pictures before mailing them out.

For all the next pictures: if you want click to enlarge for a better look!

The first finish is from SamSarah - May: (flowers and bees :) Finished last Sunday.

The second finish is from SamSarah also - June: (strawberries ofcourse) Also finished last Sunday

And a close-up: (I really hate doing french knots)

And the first progress picture is from Mary Margaret - Carriage House Samplings:

I've finished the tree; now I have to fill it up.

And an other progress/start: I've made a little start on this one.

And this is how he will become when finished. Spooky!!!!!!!!!!

And this is my latest WIP. Almost done already... SamSarah July.

Can anyone please tell me: what are these "things"?

Next weekend will be busy for us also. Our youngest, Dorine, will try to swim for her second swimmingcertificate on Saterday. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thank you for looking and your comments. I appriciate them very much. I hope I will be able to post my next message a lot sooner next time!

A birthday present and a new stitching beauty!

Look what the postman brought me last week:

Patti sent me this lovely birthday gift. Isn't she sweet, this little lady? She will have a special place in my living room. Patti, again thank you so much best friend!

An other package was sent to me last week, and that's what I ordered from Traditional Stitches:

I've ordered the complete kit: 30-count purple linen, dmc floss and ofcourse the Spooky Tin along with the finishing kit. (click on picture to enlarge if you want)
It's was a very crazy week for me. I went to the doctors and he did an ECG for checking my heart. That was oke! Then he sent me to the hospital to have a mammography. That was oke too, at least no breastcancer. Why, you ask. Because I have terrible pain in my left breast and chest. Now I have to wait a couple of days and then I will know what it really is.

In the meanwhile I've finished my first PIF and I started the second one.

Till next time, love and hugs.

Thank you for all the comments, I appreciate them very much.

Just a little note...

Unbelievable but true...

My father came home from hospital yesterday! They haven't found anything "wrong" with his heart. His pacemaker is doing well, and his heart is going fast and slow, but that's not something new. I've said to him: "Don't pray to much about leaving this world, please." He is so strong! Unfortunately Parkinson disease is getting him really hard again. I wish I could take it away from him.

And a little update about stitching. My first PIF is finished. All I have to do is finish finish it, but that's for the weekend. My second PIF is waiting for some thread I haven't in my stash. Just now I've search some more projects for the other members and I found lovely charts for them. Be patient, please!

Thank you all for your prayers about my father! You all are the best friends I have around the world!

Love and hugs and till next time...

Lots of WIP's!

I was going through my very big WIP-basket yesterday evening, and I found this lovely Doll House again. So I couldn't help myself, and put some more stitches in a "new" room. No, not really new. I pulled it all out the last time. I had made a terrible misstake on some stitches unfortunately. It's stitched over one on 32-count. After three hours this is how much I've done. Not bad, isn't it? As far as it was earlier. A sweet tiny boysroom!

It's hard to choose from so many great projects, so I also made some little progress for one of my PIF members. I will let you take a little sneak peak on it.

Ofcourse It's just a little piece of the whole project, otherwise It isn't a suprise anymore.

Special thanks to Paulette, she teached me how to use my own camera for making close up's.

Thanks for looking and for your comments. I appreciate them very much.
Till next time...

Our holiday and my special PIF!

We had a great time during our holiday last week. Nice and sometimes warm wether and I had time to stitch also.

This was our cottage for the week:

We did a lot of "exercise" in this week: soccer, jumping on the airtrampoline, badminton and swimming. We went to the zoo and to the Efteling. Here are a couple of pictures:

Emma and Dorine walking around in the little forrest around there:

Jumping on the airtrampoline:

Our daily swimming, we are glad that both of them had at least one swimmingcertificate:

Playing soccer with daddy ofcourse:

My stitching progresses; I thought I had some more stitching done, but the light was terrible, so it didn't go very fast.

Baubles April from SamSarah:

Mary Margaret from Carriage House Samplings:

And ofcourse A Needlework Garden SAL, look a the link on the right. I will put the picture there later on.

And now it's time for my special PIF:

There were 5 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

1. Patti
2. Mylene
3. Jan
4. Terri
5. Loraine

As you can see I have five names now, so.....

I decided to stitch something for all five of you, ladies!
So please email me your address, you can find it in my profile.

Also the latest news on my father:
He went home on Friday the 24th of April!!!! Yes, it's true. He's doing great and we all hope that this will last for a long time. Very strong man!!!!

Till next time...
Lots of hugs and love.

PIF (Pay It Forward) part 2!

I tried a PIF and just Patti signed in. So this is what I decided to do:

Everybody who likes something made/stitched by me can sign in. Just put a comment under this message with your intrests about almost everything. Maybe you like candy, chocolate, books or old samplers, you name it. Do you have favorite designers, also put it in the message. It's also a kind of way to know all of you wonderful bloggers.

You can sign in for 2 weeks from now. When I'm back from my short holiday (May 1st), I will pick two more names besides Patti and they are gonna get something stitched by me, in the next year, related to there interests, in no particular order.

Have a great stitching weekend!

PIF (Pay It Forward)!

I signed up for PIF on Irina's blog and this PIF is the second try for me!
The rule of the game (PAY IT FORWARD):
If you would like to receive some stitching gift made by me during one year (until April 2010) please leave a comment on this post before April 1st (for the Dutch people: No, it's not a joke), to say that you are interested, and the first 3 people will be my PIF members. In return, you should post the same offer on your own blog. And the chain goes on! Participants from any country are welcome.
Anyone can sign in, but I pick first three people, who will follow the game in there pages...

In the meanwhile I'm very busy on my modelstitching in the evenings. I will post some pictures but I want to have to stitch a lot first. It also has been a very busy week in my accounting business. Therefore I couldn't post a message earlier this week.

Thank you for stopping by and your comments. I love to receive and read them all.
