Dressed up for Carnaval!

Today, my kids had a party on school. In Dutch it called Carnaval and it will last a couple of days in the south of the Netherlands. They got fully dressed up to school this morning. Emma as a Indian girl and Dorine as a "sweet" witch. Dorine hates make-up on her face, so she haven't any. Emma had a couple of lines on her cheeks and there were ready to go.

Aren't they sweet like this?

Now, we are gonna enjoy ourselves with one week vacation. No alarmclocks in the morning and taking it easy the whole day. Hopes that the wether will cooperate a little.
Sunday I will go to a fair in Zwolle: "De Handwerkbeurs" and I really hope that I can buy some great stash there. I will let you know afterwards.

Great weekend for everybody with a lot of stitching time.

Oh Carin! Your girls are darling! I love their costumes - did you make them? Enjoy your week off with them!

I wish I could go stash shopping with you - I'll be anxious to see what you get!

Have a great weekend and a great week off next week!
Peace,
Terri

They look lovely and the costumes are great. By the way, I only have one girl, what you saw «chez moi» was was a Minnie and the same with a paper mask... But I agree it seems a different one, she looks bizarre... It was her first «aware» Carnaval and she liked the idea of costumes. By the way, a week of holidays? We only have 3 days, what an envy!! Hugs for you and yours!
